How does Toast Print work?

Toast Print operates under a simple principle: wherever there are designers,
there are print jobs that need done.
Toast Print helps you connect with these jobs.

How Toast Print works

Designer submits job spec via Toast Print

Guided by the Toast Print system, designers will select a product to quote for and then type in the relevant job spec. We will make sure that the designer submits all you need in order for you to prepare a quotation including paper stock, quantity, coating, how many colours etc.

Designers are guided to enter fully detailed job specs

Designer selects printers to send to

Toast Print returns a list of matching printers for each job

Upon typing in all job specs, Toast Print will match the job against a list of printers who can perform the job. The way we determine whether a printer can perform a job is based on the services that each printer offers - e.g. whether you do offset or digital printing, whether you offer foil stamping, emboss or spot UV.

The designer will be able to choose from a list of matching printers, as well as compare printer to printer on various criterias such as how quickly they reply to jobs, feedback score from the community, company description, the services offered etc.

Once happy with their selection, the designer submits the job for quotation to the selected printers.

Printers receive job

Each printer can view their current list of pending quotes anytime

You will be notified by email whenever you receive a new job. Each job is organized uniformly so that you can review the detailed job specs, see all correspondences with the designer, the artwork file, as well as a record of what you have quoted for the job.

Prior to submitting your quotation, you can contact the designer directly through Toast Print's messaging platform.

Each job is structured uniformly and contains all correspondences and specs related to it

Printers submit quotation

Printers can enter costs for individual items within a job quote

Toast Print's flexible quotation system allows you to fill in costs across different areas of operation when submitting a quotation:

  • Printing Costs
  • Delivery Costs
  • Additional Costs (services such as die-cut, folding, design etc.)
  • Estimated Turnaround Time

We understand that each quotation is unique and specific to the job - perhaps you require payment to be made upfront for new customers, or that you only deliver to Australian locations. That's why for each quotation you can jot down notes, instructions or conditions that you would like the designer to know about to minimize disagreements upon taking up the job. What's more, you can pre-set these terms in your My Account section so that you don't have to type them out everytime.

Designer chooses a winning quote

At any point in time after one of the printers have replied to the designer's job, the designer can choose a winning quote at his/her discretion.

If your quote has been chosen as the winning quote, you will be notified by email along with the the designer's contact details so you can contact the designer directly to action upon the lead generated.

Toast Print only acts as a mediator between you and the designer to seal the deal, thus giving you complete freedom on how you would like to carry out the job. We understand our role and work hard not to interfere with your business operations.

Congratulations! There's another winning quote for you!
